Registration Fees

Annual Makos Registration Fee: $50

 Annual USA Registration Fee: $30 Flex & $97 Premium

Annual Family Volunteer Commitment Fee: $100  

Annual USA Registration Fee (REQUIRED & non-refundable):

• NEW swimmer complete this directly through USA Swimming.
• Returning swimmers will be automatically renewed and your Makos account will be charged in October 2025 or when you return for suspended swimmers.
• USA Swimming Flex Membership: 12 & Under swimmers ONLY - $30 - covers insurance at practice and up to 2 meets per year (September - September) Flex membership can be upgraded to premium if your swimmer would like to swim more than 2 meets per year for an additional $67 at any point during the year.
• USA Swimming Premium Membership: $97 Premium Membership covers insurance at practice and ALL meets during the year. This membership is required for all 13 & over athletes. 12 & Under swimmers in SILVER & PLATINUM will be charged the PREMIUM membership.

Annual Makos Registration fee (non-refundable):

• This fee is charged in September 2025 OR your second month of swimming for those starting after September. Swimmers beginning in June, July or August will pay a prorated fee of $25

Family volunteer commitment fee: 

• $100 - charged in January 2026. 
• Fee will be refunded as an account credit for July 2026 for those families that volunteer for 3 sessions at the Makos Summer Splash June 5-7,2026. 
• New families beginning after January 2026 will be assessed this fee for their 2nd month of participation. 

Multi-swimmer family discount:

• $25 (monthly) credit per child (discount tally excludes College swimmers) after the first swimmer.

Swim meet fees:

• Fun Meets: $15 per swimmer 
• USA Meets: amount varies and are listed on the information page
• Entry fees are paid to the host team and are detailed in the particular meet’s information packet available on the Makos website. Fees are usually charged per event. (typical charge is $15-$20 facility fee and $5.50 per event) Makos pay for the relays.
• Once a swimmer has been entered in a meet, the club cannot refund entry fees for any reason.
• The Makos will also assess a per-athlete charge to your account to help to partially cover the costs of paying the coaches to travel and attend the meets.
• The charge is $35 for swimmers attending 4 or more days, $25 for swimmers attending 2 or 3 days and $20 for swimmers attending 1 day.

Additional Information:

• All members are required to be on automatic payments via our online system using a credit card or checking account
• Dues are billed monthly on the 1st
• You may suspend your account by using the suspension/cancellation form  by the 21st of the month prior. Without this notice, your account will be billed as usual, and any amount paid will be used as a credit on your account.
• Transaction fees will be included in your monthly charge. 
• Credit Card Fee - 3.7% +$0.20 per transaction
• Bank ACH Fee - 1.7%
• Financial assistance is available for qualifying families.
