SIGNING UP FOR THE TEAM

The first step in signing up for the swim team is to have a try-out session with a coach. Based on abilities, the coach will assign your swimmer to the appropriate group. Once you know your swimmer’s group assignment, the next step is to obtain the Swimmer Forms Package from a coach or board member and complete all of the necessary information.

Th ese forms and associated payments must be returned within 10 days of your swimmer’s first practice . You may deposit them in the drop box provided at the 300 Club.

USA SWIMMING REGISTRATION

The MACG Swim Team competes under the rules of USA Swimming.  Therefore, USA Swimming memberships are mandatory for those wishing to practice and/or participate in swim meets.  Your USA Swimming membership is a secondary insurance policy for your swimmer during practice and swim meets.  The registration form is included in your Swimmer Forms Package.

First time registrations must include a copy of the swimmer’s birth certificate.  

Registrations must be renewed each fall and returned with your annual participation fee.

If you are transferring from another USA Swimming team you must swim unattached for a period of 120 days from your last swim meet with your previous team.
